A blogging break

A blogging break

It’s hard to say goodbye T_T, but I’m flying to Christchurch tomorrow and will be out of internet for a week. But I think it’s good to get away from work and everything once in a while and recharge!!

Oh and I get to use my newly made passport cover *v*/

Passport cover tutorial

Passport cover tutorial

I worked until 3am last night making this passport cover to enter the Scrap Buster Contest over at Sew, Mama Sew! *v*/

This passport cover is not like the normal journal or paperback cover, it’s more like a passport carry case and you can fit two passports in it. It also has slots for things like driver licence, mileage cards… etc. I think it would be very useful for traveling :D

First time felting

First time felting

I never thought that felting can be so easily done at home until I saw Gill Brooks’ demonstration at the Sydney Stitch & Craft Show.

I bought some merino wool at the show, and not until last weekend, I finally tried felting for the first time.

Good news week!

Good news week!

Firstly, I discovered the very first baby butter bean hiding underneath the leaves!! It’s so small and cute (*v*)/

And next, even more exciting, my yabby is giving birth! I have a pair of yabbies, her name is Bluey, and his name is Blacky. Bluey has been pregnant for some time, and yesterday when we went to check on her…

What’s on the shelf?

What’s on the shelf?

I love taking photos, so I’ve decided to join this fun meme called ‘My Place & Yours’ by Pip over at Meet Me At Mike’s.

This week’s theme is :: On The Shelf ::

Warehouse conversions

Warehouse conversions

I know the title seems totally random, but I’ve always dreamed of living in one of those trendy apartments converted from warehouses.

I drive pass this warehouse conversion near my place whenever I head to the city. Maybe it’s because of the giant letters on the outer wall, I’m not sure, this building just really catches my eye.

Pretty journal cover

Pretty journal cover

I’ve just completed another sewing project and I’m particularly proud of this one*v* I think it turned out really nice! I’ve made a journal cover to fit an A5 art diary – most art diaries are just plain ordinary.

The design is from one of the Japanese craft books that I bought last weekend. Instructions in the book are for paperback novels, so I had to alter the measurements to fit my A5 art diary.
