I was bored the other night after work, not having a clue how to pass the time, I took my rubber block and carving tools out and started carving. I remembered seeing this old typeface on another blog, so I ended up carving my initial using a vintage style font.
I haven’t been doing much gardening lately, but while I was watering them the other day… gosh, they’ve grown so much!!
My butter bean plants (the drawf variety, not the climbing ones) are flowering finally>< I didn’t know that their flowers are so pretty, look like little white bells^0^
Almost every weekend, I would pop into Kinokuniya (Sydney) and browse the books in the Japanese Crafts section, and almost everytime I would leave empty-handed. And the one and only reason is – they are too expensive!!!!><
But last weekend, I bought two!!!! Why? Because I didn’t get it from Kinokuniya, I found out about Hondarake (Full of Books).
This is my first attempt at making a pouch*V* I’ve always just put my compact camera in my handbag when I don’t take my DSLR with me.
I’ve been thinking that it kinda need some protection. So for my first pouch project, I made a home for it^^
I’ve been using Sarubobo as a pincushion for some time, and it really is time that I make a proper one so poor sarubobo doesn’t get stabbed by pins anymore!!
Last night, I got home straight after work and started working on my long overdue pincushion project.
My copy of Lena Corwin’s Printing by Hand finally arrived!! I was so excited*v* I ordered it a while ago from Book Depository, but they had to back order so it took a while.
It finally showed up on my doorstep, just in time for the weekend. I was going to do more stamp carving, but decided to read the book first!!
Last weekend, when I got back from shopping, I found my neighbour’s cat lying around in my front yard. She looks so relaxed so I took a photo of her^^ I actually scared her away taking the picture><
