OK, just so that this post is slightly craft related, let me show you my ONLY recent work

Shame on me >< hehe... But I actually wanted to show you where I live now, this is a view from my balcony, I know the background is a bit blurry, so here's a clearer photo~

The view is not exactly good. I live in some back streets and there is this printing factory next to my apartment, so it gets quite noisy as well…

This is a family drug store on the same street as my apartment~ Drug stores are everywhere in Japan, they sell everything from medicines to cleaning products, to cosmetics! I’m a regular

Power lines are also very common in Japan, which is something I didn’t expect from such an advanced country!

Anyways, you can already tell that I don’t live in the most exciting suburb in Japan.. hahahaha~ And here’s a photo of my room with minimal furnitures!

I’m attending Japanese language school everyday now, which takes up most of my time! I’m also doing freelance work but I hope I can find more time to craft and blog! It’s such a waste since craft supplies are so abundant here!

I’m definitely a collector!!
I collect many things… toys since childhood, stamps, coins, books, etc… but for this post, like Kate, I’m limiting myself to one of my collections – business cards.

The single rule that I have is: Must be from a restaurant/cafe that I’ve visited – anywhere in the world.

This is just 1/5 of my collection!!!

I wanted to lay all my cards out, but then my table is not big enough, and I probably would need a very wide angle lens ^0^

After seeing other people’s Blog HQ… I feel like mine is totally boring= = Yes, I sit at my dinning table – this is where I blog. This is also exactly the same spot where I sew, you can see my sewing machine behind the laptop ^_^

My boyfriend complains a lot about my messiness. It is almost impossible to see my “desk” neat and tidy, except the second right after I cleaned it ^0^ In fact, my messiness is not limited to my “desk” area…

It has been very tiring for me, traveling and sight-seeing non-stop for the last 9 days and got on a 6:35am flight back to Sydney this morning!!!

New Zealand is a truly amazing country, although I lived in Auckland before, it is actually my first time to the South Island. It’s a pity that my limited photography skills cannot fully capture the beauty of this piece of untouched land.

I visited a few markets in Christchurch (I love markets *v*) and a few craft stores, and you bet I wouldn’t leave empty handed

Maori’s traditional hand carved whale bone pendant I got from the Arts Centre Market.
Incredible craftsmanship.

Some handmade soaps I also got from the Arts Centre Market.

Left: Second hand threads that I got from Riccarton Market for NZD$1 each ^0^
Middle: Felting needles (I have no idea how to use it :p)
Right: Needle felted sheep!! So cute I couldn’t resist buying!

I also stock up on wool for my felting projects – 600grams of wool!!

It’s hard to say goodbye T_T, but I’m flying to Christchurch tomorrow and will be out of internet for a week. But I think it’s good to get away from work and everything once in a while and recharge!!

I drive pass this warehouse conversion near my place whenever I head to the city. Maybe it’s because of the giant letters on the outer wall, I’m not sure, this building just really catches my eye.

PS. I couldn’t resist taking a snapshot of this beautiful building even though I was driving (stopped at a red light of cos ), especially on a cloudless day.
